Our organization set out with a mission to expose Raja Krishnamoorthi's problematic ties with MAGA and ICE special interests and deliver a clear call to action to Illinois Democratic Primary voters: VOTE and REJECT Raja for Senate.
Against all odds, we went up against an unprecedented $30-million-plus, MAGA-backed attempt to buy our Senate seat — and won. We built a multiracial, multifaith, grassroots coalition that was able to push past the noise and deliver the truth to the voters about who Raja really is and the unique danger he posed if elected.
This victory shows that while money in politics is powerful, it is not absolute. Together, we shifted the conversation, drove accountability, and reminded voters of their power and agency.
Although there is still so much work to be done, today we can celebrate, knowing that we refused to let MAGA special interests send their preferred candidate to the Senate.

Who We Are
Illinois Against MAGA is taking action to stop pro-ICE, MAGA donors from buying a U.S. Senate seat in Illinois. We are exposing Raja Krishnamoorthi’s financial ties to MAGA interests and ICE contractors and holding him accountable to Illinois values.
Public reporting by the Chicago Sun-Times shows Krishnamoorthi accepted nearly $100,000 from Trump and MAGA donors, and that reporting is only the tip of the iceberg.
Raja Krishnamoorthi brands himself as anti-MAGA, but his donor list tells a different story. The pattern is clear: Krishnamoorthi talks progressive politics while continuing to benefit from MAGA-aligned and ICE-linked money—putting his credibility and priorities at odds with Illinois values. Illinois voters will not allow pro-ICE, MAGA donors to use their money to decide who represents us in the United States Senate.
